SUMMARY:Preparing a Historic Cemetery Strategic Plan
DESCRIPTION:This course will provide participants with the skills to develop a strategic plan for a historic cemetery\, covering cataloging\, surveying and assessing site conditions\, landscaping\, budgeting\, and thorough documentation practices. \nCourse Details\nThis is a one-day course from 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The main topics covered during the course are: \n\nWhy cemetery conservation is important.\nPreservation in cemeteries\, including documentation\, cataloging\, surveying\, assessment\, landscaping\, and finance and budgeting.\nCemetery walk-through with discussion.\n\nQuestions You May Have\n\nWhat should I wear?\nPlease wear clothes you are comfortable learning and sitting in.\nHow many people are in the class?\nThere will be a maximum of 25 people in the class.\nWhat if I am sick or have a last-minute emergency come up during the course?\nThis course is offered in a limited capacity throughout the year. We ask that you attend unless you are ill or have an emergency. If you cannot attend\, please contact the Director of Training\, Samantha Ferringer\, at (845) 596-6616 as soon as possible. The $45 fee is non-refundable.\nAre there any other materials that I need to bring?\nNotebooks and pens will be provided.
